Are you a mompreneur struggling to balance your business and personal life? Do you feel like you’re constantly juggling too many things at once? We know how you feel. Running a business while raising kids can be challenging, but don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Here are five simple secrets every mompreneur needs to know to look amazing and feel strong, so you can unlock your full business potential today.

Secret #1 – Take care of your skin

As a mompreneur, you probably don’t have a lot of time to spend on your skincare routine. But taking care of your skin doesn’t have to be complicated or time-consuming. The key is to keep it simple. I know that may be easier said than done!

As I was approaching 40, my skin started to break out. It was partly stress coupled with hormonal imbalances. I used a dermatologist who recommended some products for me. It took about eight months, however, for me to realize that the products were not working.

I switched dermatologists and was prescribed different products. Within 6 weeks, my skin returned to pre-teen status!

The moral of this story is to (1) seek professional advice, (2) know that not all advice works for you, and (3) stick to your skincare routine to know what works and what doesn’t. I have finally found what works for me and I’m so glad I did!

Some simple but important steps you can take are:

  1. Wash your face twice a day with a foaming or gel cleanser
  2. Use a moisturizer with SPF in the morning (never leave home without sunscreen!)
  3. Remove your makeup before bed.
  4. If you’re feeling fancy, add a face mask once a week for some extra pampering.
  5. And remember, drinking plenty of water (speaking to myself here) and eating a healthy diet can do wonders for your skin.

Secret #2 – Dress for Success

Whether you’re running a business from home, or going to an office, it can be tempting to be ordinary everyday with the same routine and wardrobe. But dressing for success can make a big difference in how you feel and how others perceive you.

You don’t have to wear a suit and heels every day, but pairing your outfit well can help you feel more confident and professional. Plus, it’s a great excuse to go shopping for some new clothes!

I love shopping for classic and colorful pieces that I can interchange. I used to be a trouser girl, but now, I wear more dresses, skirts and blazers. Zara is my go-to store for my suits and tailored pieces. I also love ASOS and United Colors of Beneton.

I also get lovely accessories from Amazon. It doesn’t have to be an expensive shopping spree. Just being consistent with getting at least four different pieces of clothing each month should do the trick.

Secret #3 – Make time for exercise

Exercise is not only good for your physical health but also your mental health. It can help reduce stress, boost your mood, and increase your energy levels.

As a mompreneur, it’s important to make time for exercise, even if it’s just a quick walk around the block. You’ll feel stronger, more focused, and ready to tackle whatever comes your way.

I started my exercise journey last November. I had just hosted my Ultimate Mompreneur Brunch and I was so burnt out mentally and physically. I knew that I had to make a change. I scheduled a session with a trainer. That way, I would commit to showing up because it was a lot of money on the line.

Fast forward to six months later, I am so much stronger, and I am able to cope with all of the things that are thrown my way on a daily basis.

Secret #4 – Truly practice self-care

Yeah, yeah, self-care, self-care. It seems to be a word that most women are talking about these days.

However, self-care is not selfish, it’s essential. As a mompreneur, you’re constantly giving to others, but it’s important to take care of yourself too. Make time for activities that make you feel good, whether it’s reading a book, taking a bubble bath, or getting a massage.

Additionally, self-care is not only about the girly fluffy activities mentioned above. I have found that solo travel, quiet time, doing something exciting and fun, and therapy have helped me a lot.

And don’t forget to say no to things that don’t serve you or your business. Remember, you can’t pour from an empty cup.

Secret #5 – Surround yourself with positive people

The people you surround yourself with can have a big impact on your mindset and your business.

Surround yourself with positive people who support your goals and aspirations. Join a networking group or a mastermind group to connect with other mompreneurs who understand what you’re going through.

I know I can always turn to my closest friends who I’m positive will always hype me up and let me know when I’m going wrong. They allow me to shine and I do the same for them. Amazing friendships make your world a better place.

And don’t be afraid to ask for help or advice when you need it. We’re all in this together.

Conclusion

Being a mompreneur can be challenging, but it’s also incredibly rewarding. By taking care of yourself, you’ll be able to unlock your full business potential and achieve your goals.

Remember to keep it simple, dress for success, make time for exercise, practice self-care, and surround yourself with positive people. And don’t forget to have fun along the way!

I hope these tips help you look amazing and feel strong, so you can take on the world.

xoxo
