Hi there, it’s Kelisha Mills again and I want to welcome you to this week’s show.

Today, we are talking all about how you can bring your business ideas to reality. Many times we have all of these ideas in our head. We have so many great plans. We want to do so  many things. But we really don’t know how to move that from just being a thought in our head to an actual business and bringing it into reality and I want to share a few reasons why this can happen.

Now, I remember when I just started my business, it was about 2 years before I knew that I wanted to make a difference. I wanted to serve others. I wanted to create something that would help other women entrepreneurs. Now, when I was thinking about getting into business, I had all of these ideas in my head. I knew that I wanted to make a difference and I also knew that I wanted to make a certain amount of money. Now, how do I get from all these ideas in my head to that actual business coming into reality? One of the things I had to do was to ensure that what I was thinking about was realistic. All of the financial goals that I had, I had to make sure that it was realistic and that I was not shooting myself in the foot. So I had to think about my goal, my dream, my vision and how I would get there. The necessary steps that I would have needed to get me from one place to the next. I had to detail what I wanted for myself in the next month, in the next year, in the next few years and write down step-by-step the things that I needed to do to get me to that place.

That was not an easy task and one of the things that really helped me to move that needle forward was that I did not think small.  To bring your dream, your vision, your goal into reality, one of the key things that you have to do is think big. It makes no sense having all of these great ideas and plans and then you are thinking that okay, I will never achieve that. No. You have think big. Making way for you and those very dreams to become a reality. So today I want you to think big. Go for it! There is nothing to lose. Now, with those goals, the main thing that you need to have is clarity. You need to be clear, Just as I said before, you need to know what you need to do to ensure that you have everything lined up for the next month, for the next year and the next few years to come.

The next thing I want you to do is to prioritize. Look for those quick wins. Consider those things that may have a maximum long-term impact. Build solid foundations and most importantly think about sustainability because you want to be around for many years to come.

Another important tip is to set strategic realistic targets. You need to communicate your vision with someone and I always like to have someone in my corner who is like an accountability partner and I want you to keep doing so until your business, your vision, your goal comes to reality. I want you to ensure that all of the stakeholders, all of the key players, the persons you need to have in your life and in your business, ensure that they understand the steps and understand your vision. Make sure that they are on the same page as you. So you need think about who you will involve in your vision because not everyone should be involved in all of the steps. How will you ensure that they sign up and that they stay committed to your vision and that all feeds of your energy. You need stay positive. You need to stay in an area of faith and move forward in a strategic manner. This is where your confidence comes in. If those around you see your lack of confidence and your confusion and they see that you are not clear, then they won’t be clear either. I always love to say that every problem has a solution. And when you see yourself as a problem-solver, and when you enable others to also be a part of that problem-solving initiative, then, of course, you know that you are moving in the right direction and that all of your challenges will be overcome and that business idea will become a reality. So that means you have to create clear lines of communication. Communication is key. If you keep all of your ideas in your head and you don’t share those persons know when you are shifting, when you move onto another place, then there comes confusion. So create clear lines of communication which operates at every level and in all direction.

The next thing that you can do is to break each step into smaller actionable steps. We all call this smart planning. For me in my experience, one of the ways that all of those big goals and dreams that I had, the way that I brought it into reality is that I stayed committed to that clear vision. I knew what I wanted. I knew what I wanted for my life, for my business, for my children and that was a driving factor for me and also because I had no other choice but to get that vision into a reality. I did not have a day job. I did not have a rich father who was showering me or my children with money. My husband and I we had to get the solutions. We had to make things a reality and that driving force in itself really propels you to do what you have to do. And yes, there may stumbling blocks. There may be things that come in your way that’s caused you to deviate and shift. But you have to remain committed and focused on the task at hand which is to bring this business  idea into reality. And I want to give you a very real example of how we were able to do this. So we were at a place from wanting to move from where we were to a place where we would be more comfortable. Now with a new business just getting off the ground, that idea had just taken off and we had to bring things more into reality. We had to stay committed to the task at hand. So there was no delaying or faulting or not posting on social media or not engaging with our audience or not doing all the things that we needed to do to remain visible and to keep moving forward. At each interval a way was made for us. What we needed at that point and time was provided and that’s why I say, faith, that thing that you have in your mind. That thing that you see only in your mind. That commitment to bring that thing to reality, it is so real. And I just want to implore that on you today.

So think big. Be clear on your goal, your dream, your vision. Be clear about where you are now and where you need to be. Look at those areas of strengths and also those areas for development. Work on those things. Work on what needs to be done to eliminate that gap between your dream and your reality. And when that time comes, when that dream is now a reality, I want you to celebrate your win. Remember to thank those along the way. Those you would have met along the way. Those who have helped you on your journey. Remember to thank them. Thank them for their contribution to your life and then look for those ways to move on.

So those were my short tips for you today. I hope they were helpful. Let me know in the comments below if these tips will help you bring your dream, your goal, your business from just an idea into reality. Be good ladies! Bye!
